I placed an order for two lines online. It's currently processing and doing the credit check. How long does this take? Also I heard that if you are porting from another carrier they are more likely to approve you than if you werent porting a number because they want to steal the other carrier's business. Any truth to that? I'm hopinh the credit check happens before saturday the 23rd so I can get the $125 credit for porting over my #.
It is automated and less than an hour, depending on who you are going through. Was this done on Sprint.com or through a third party. You should be able to call in and find out the status if you did this electronically.
I think the scoring is the same as it looks at lines not where they are coming from. If it kicks out of automated and goes to manual review then the porting could be considered.

I did it through the sprint.com website.placed the order at 2:19AM and it's now 8:17am and the status hasnt changed. it still says:
Your order has been submitted for processing and is under credit review. We will contact you if we need further information. Please check again for updates to your order status
